New Delhi: 65 MLAs signed an official letter demanding action against all those MLAs and ministers who have spoken against the Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa.

As per reports, the above-mentioned letter also speaks in support of the Karnataka CM and claims that Yediyurappa is currently doing good work in looking after the state.

The letter signing campaign was taken up by BJP MLA and secretary of the CM, M. P. Renukacharya. The petition will be now given to the BJP national general secretary, Arun Singh.

“I am touching my heart and saying that 65 MLAs have written the letter and I have it. Everyone will say it’s Vijayendra. But it’s me. I’ve been an MLA for three tenures. I don’t have to do it on Vijayendra’s orders neither do I have to do it on CM’s instructions. I’m doing it as I’m an MLA,” Renukacharya said.

This comes just a day after B.S. Yediyurappa on Sunday stated that he would resign from the post if the BJP high command wanted him to.

“As long as the party high command in Delhi has faith in my leadership, I will continue as the CM. The day they tell me they don’t need me, I will resign and start working day and night for the development of the state. I have no confusion in this regard. They have given me an opportunity and I am working hard to make best use of it,” Yediyurappa said after garlanding the statue of late D. Devaraj Urs in Vidhana Soudha complex.

Arun Singh is also set to visit Bangalore in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Ashwath Narayan also expressed his thoughts over it and said that there is no need for these letters to be written.

He said that, “Yediyurappa is our leader and he’s just spoken about how loyal he is to the party”.
