Maharashtra Governor Koshyari Tests Covid-19 Positive, Admitted To Mumbai Hospital

New Delhi: Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Wednesday was admitted to a private hospital in south Mumbai after testing Coronavirus positive, PTI reported.

Koshyari (80), who was always seen wearing face masks at public events, has been admitted to the Reliance Foundation Hospital. 

Following the Maharashtra political crisis, rebel Shiv Sena minister Eknath Shinde was expected to meet Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari claiming of having the support of 40 legislators.

Meawhile, Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 3,659 fresh Covid-19 cases, including 1,781 in Mumbai, and one fatality, taking the tally to 79,41,762 and the toll to 1,47,889 in the state. While, Maharashtra’s Thane district has reported 756 new Covid-19 cases, raising its infection count to 7,21,015.
