Meet Neha Narkhede, India’s Youngest Self-Made Woman Entrepreneur In Hurun Rich List

Born and brought up as a Punekar, Neha Narkhede did her BSc in Engineering from SCTR’S Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT).

Neha Narkhede, an Indian-American entrepreneur, made it to the Hurun India Rich List 2022 list of the country’s youngest self-made women business owners. Neha, born in Pune, is a co-founder of Confluent, a California-based streaming data technology company (USA).

1,103 people from 122 cities were included in the eleventh edition of the IIFL Wealth Hurun Rich List this year, an increase of 96 from 2021. Neha ranks eighth among the top 10 richest Indian women on the Hurun Rich List with a net worth of Rs 13,380 crores.

Born and brought up as a Punekar, Neha Narkhede did her BSc in Engineering from SCTR’S Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT). To pursue a Master’s in Computer Science she joined Georgia Tech in 2006. Post graduation, she joined Oracle where she served till 2010.

Neha joined LinkedIn as a software engineer in February 2010 and within two years she had donned various hats in the professional social media platform. She left Linkedin along with her colleague in September 2014 to build Confluent, a multi-billion dollar tech company. She was the CTO of the tech giant until January 2020.

Neha is also 55th on the 2022 America’s Self-Made Woman list by Forbes. In 2018, she was inducted as World’s Top 50 Women in Tech and also America’s Top 50 Women in Tech. Neha is also the winner of the 2022 Technology Entrepreneurship Abie Award.
