Mohd Ismail Alvi, Top Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammed Terrorist Killed In Kashmir Encounter

Alvi comes from the family of terrorist Masood Azhar and was involved in the Lethapora attack and was killed after an encounter broke out between the terrorist and the security forces broke out at Hangalmarg in the Dachigam forest area connecting Srinagar and Anantnag districts

New Delhi: Topmost Pakistani terrorist of the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed, Moham Ismail Alvi alias Lamboo was killed in an encounter on Saturday morning at Hangalmarg in the Dachigam forest area connecting Srinagar and Anantnag districts, said Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar. “Topmost Pakistani terrorist affiliated with proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Lamboo was killed in today’s encounter. Identification of the second terrorist is being ascertained,” Kumar told ANI.

“Mohd Ismal Alvi alias Lamboo alias Adnan was from a family of Masood Azhar. He was involved in the conspiracy and planning of the Lethpora attack. He stayed with Adil Dar till the day of fidayeen attack, a viral video of Adil Dar had his voice in it”, said IGP Kashmir.

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday morning.

Security forces instantly launched a cordon and search operation in the Nagberan-Tarsar forest area in south Kashmir today, after inputs about the presence of militants there, a police official said.

He further added that the search operation turned into an encounter after militants opened fired at a search party of the forces, who retaliated.

Earlier today, security forces gunned down two terrorists during an encounter here at Hangalmarg in the Dachigam forest area and recovered AK and M4 rifles from their possession, police said.
