New Delhi: Mumbai on Friday logged 20,971 new cases of COVID-19. 6 deaths were reported. 8,490 patients recovered today. Active cases tally stands at 91,731. The recovery rate of Mumbai was 87%.
Mumbai on Thursday crossed the 20,000-mark of COVID-19 cases as it recorded 20,181 new infections. The city also reported four deaths due to the virus, while the active caseload rose to 79,260. Dharavi in Mumbai reported 107 new COVID-19 infection, taking the tally to 7,626, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.
India recorded 1,17,100 fresh Covid-19 cases, 30,836 recoveries in the past 24 hours. The figure of deaths did not change much as the total casualties were recorded at 302, taking the tally to 4,83,178.
All international passengers arriving in India will have to undergo compulsory seven-day quarantine, the government said on Friday. The move comes as COVID-19 cases in the country spiral out of control.
All international travellers should submit complete information in self-declaration form on the online Air Suvidha portal before the scheduled travel, including last 14 days travel details. The passengers should upload a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR report. The test should have been conducted within 72 hours before journey.
Delhi on Friday reported 17,335 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths in the last 24 hours, a 15 per cent rise as compared to yesterday’s 15,097 cases. The tally of the active cases in the capital has reached to 39,873 cases. The positivity rate now stands at 17.73 per cent.
