National leaders pay homage to fallen soldiers on 2nd anniversary of Pulwama terror attack

In the Pulwama terror attack, 40 valiant Indian soldiers lost their lives after a suicide bomber crashed into an IED-laden vehicle into the security convoy carrying them.

To express their thoughts on the two-year anniversary of this tragic incident, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took to Twitter and paid tributes to all the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack.

“I join the nation in paying my humble tributes to the CRPF personnel who were martyred in the dastardly Pulwama terror attack. The grateful nation will always remember their patriotism & supreme sacrifice. My solidarity with the families who lost their loved ones in the attack.,” Naidu tweeted (in Hindi).

Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh tweeted: “I pay homage to those brave @crpfindia personnel who sacrificed their lives in 2019 Pulwama terror attack. India will never forget their service to the nation and their supreme sacrifice. We continue to stand with their families, who had to suffer due to this attack.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also paid heartfelt tributes to all the brave soldiers who died in the Pulwama attack and that the country owes them.

“Tributes to the brave soldiers who died in the Pulwama attack and a tribute to their families. The country owes you (rough translation from Hindi),” Rahul posted on Twitter.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP National President JP Nadda also had their say on Sunday.

“Kotish tribute to the immortal sacrifices of Pulwama attack who sacrificed their all for our safe future. His immortal sacrifice will always inspire us to fight against terrorism. Long live India (rough translation from Hindi),” Adityanath tweeted.

“Congratulations to the brave sons of Mother Bharati who were martyred in the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. The nation will always be indebted to your indomitable courage, valor and valor. (rough translation from Hindi),” Nadda’s post read.

In the above-mentioned attack, a 22-year-old suicide bomber by the name of Adil Ahmad Dar was used to crash an explosive-laden vehicle into the bus carrying Indian soldiers. The above-mentioned convoy had 78 buses where approximately 2,500 personnel were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar.

Few days after this attack, India conducted an airstrike on JeM’s Balakot terror training camp in Pakistan.

The nation had also withdrawn the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to Pakistan amid the Pulwama terror attack. Not only this, the international community had also extended their strong support towards India after the devastating attack.
