New Delhi: Fuel prices across the country rose to an all time high on Friday (May 14) after another hike in the prices of petrol and diesel. Petrol was selling at Rs 92.34 per litre in the national capital while diesel rose to an all time high of Rs 82.95 per litre.
Meanwhile, petrol prices touched the three figure mark in Bhopal at Rs 100.38 and diesel crossed the 90 figure mark at Rs 91.31. Mumbai which is the financial capital saw petrol prices rise to Rs 98.65 while diesel was selling for Rs 90.11.
Kolkata saw petrol being sold for Rs 92.44 while disel climbed to a price of Rs 85.79.
However, Sri Ganganagar district in Rajasthan saw the highest price across the nation as petrol rose to the price of Rs 103.27 while diesel rose to Rs 95.70.
The prices of fossil fuels has been skyrocketing after a rise in the prices of crude oil in the international market coupled with the high taxes that is being levied by both the Centre and state government and the rope-dollar exchange rate.
Meanwhile, prices of crude oil in the international market fell by three per cent as Brent crude oil and West Texas Intermediate (WTI).
