PM Modi To Inaugurate Seven New Medical Colleges From The Land Of Buddha

PM Modi will inaugurate medical colleges in Siddhartnagar, Deoria, Etah, Hardoi, Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Pratapgarh.

Siddharthanagar: With every passing day, new vistas in health care and medical education are opening up in Uttar Pradesh and to add a slew of new value additions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be simultaneously inaugurating seven new autonomous medical colleges from the land of Buddha on October 25.

Providing this information, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this was in line with the commitment of the state government to provide the best possible health facilities to the people of the state and to do this, he added, a chain of medical colleges are being set up across the state.

On Saturday, Adityanath spoke to the media persons after inspecting the venue and meeting with officials regarding the inauguration ceremony of the newly created Madhav Prasad Tripathi State Autonomous Medical in Siddharthnagar.

The chief minister said the medical college of Siddharthnagar has been constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.

Basti Medical College was started last year and Bahraich Medical College was started two years ago, he informed while adding that there the second batch of MBBS is going on. Similarly, the medical college in Ayodhya is also ready.

Yogi Adityanath further stated that two years ago he had announced to set up a medical college in Siddharthnagar district and now it is ready. Along with this, seven medical colleges of the state have got recognition from the National Medical Council. The admission process for 100-100 MBBS seats will be started through NEET in all these medical colleges from this session, he pointed out.

The medical college in Siddharthnagar will be named after Madhav Prasad Tripathi, popularly known as “Madhav Babu”, a freedom fighter, politician and the first President of BJP Uttar Pradesh. All arrangements for hospital, hostel, staff accommodation in this medical college are complete and the faculty is also complete. Overall this medical college is all set for the first session of MBBS.

The Chief Minister said that through this medical college not only the people of Siddharthnagar but Balrampur, Maharajganj and neighbouring nation Nepal would get the best medical facilities here.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this land of Buddha is ready to accord a grand welcome to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the inauguration ceremony of Siddharthnagar Medical College on October 25.

From here, PM Modi will also inaugurate the medical colleges of Deoria, Etah, Hardoi, Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Pratapgarh.

CM Yogi said that in the Gorakhpur-Basti division, the only medical college was BRD Medical College of Gorakhpur. Today AIIMS in Gorakhpur is also ready. In the next one-and-a-half months, it will also be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is number one in the execution of 44 schemes of the country and is now going to create a new record by inaugurating medical colleges. UP will be the first state in the country where seven-state autonomous medical colleges are going to be inaugurated simultaneously.

With the operation of these medical colleges, 700 MBBS seats in Uttar Pradesh will increase from this session. All these seven medical colleges have got permission from the National Medical Council for admission to 100 seats each in MBBS. With this, there will be no shortage of doctors in the state in the coming years.

While Uttar Pradesh will be more empowered in the field of medical and medical education with medical colleges, the state government is also honouring the names of great personalities through this. As per intention of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the medical colleges built in all the districts will be run in the name of the great personality, fighter or a great person of that district.

Medical College of Siddharthnagar will be named after Madhav Prasad Tripathi, Medical College of Deoria in the name of Maharishi Devraha Baba, Medical College of Ghazipur in the name of Maharishi Vishwamitra, Medical College of Mirzapur in the name of Maa Vindhyavasini, Medical College of Pratapgarh in the name of Dr Sonelal Patel and the Medical College of Etah will be governed by the name of Veerangana Avantibai Lodhi.
