PM Narendra Modi to chair 6th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog on Feb 20

According to the NITI Aayog release, the agenda of the meeting will include deliberations on agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing and others.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the sixth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog at 10:30 AM on Saturday (February 20) in Delhi through video conferencing.

According to the NITI Aayog release, the agenda of the meeting will include deliberations on agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing, human resource development, service delivery at grassroots level and health and nutrition.

The Prime Minister’s Office also added that this meeting will see the entry of newly formed Union Territory Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir in the discussions.

The Governing Council will present a platform for states to discuss inter-sectoral, inter-departmental and federal issues. The council comprises the Prime Minister, Chief Ministers of States and Union Territories (UTs), with Legislatures and Lt Governors of other UTs.

This time, other UTs headed by administrators have also been invited to join. The meeting will also be attended by the ex-officio members of the Governing Council, Union Ministers, Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar, Members and CEO of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant, and other senior officials of Government of India.
