Provide Relief To Common Man Hit By Rising Prices Of Commodities: Mayawati 

Petrol prices increased by Rs 0.35 paise to Rs 104.79 per litre in the national capital while the price of diesel was raised by the same amount to Rs 93.52 per litre.

Lucknow: BSP president Mayawati on Thursday asked the Centre and state governments to initiate prompt and strict measures to provide relief to the common man facing hardships due to rising prices. In a tweet in Hindi, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said the life of the common man is disturbed and troubled due to rising prices of petrol, diesel and LPG and also that of everyday use items.

She said the Central and state governments should immediately take strict and effective steps to bring relief to the public. The festive season failed to bring cheer to the common man as fuel prices saw yet another revision on Thursday.

As per the oil companies, Petrol and diesel prices were increased again across the country after a pause of two days. Petrol prices increased by Rs 0.35 paise to Rs 104.79 per litre in the national capital while the price of diesel was raised by the same amount to Rs 93.52 per litre.

Oil companies started raising auto fuel prices last week. The pause on the prices on October 12 and 13 came after a seven-day consecutive rise. Due to a rising coal and energy crunch all over the world, there is a rise in the price of commodities.
