Punjab: BSF Seizes Suspected Packets Of 3.2 Kg Heroin In Ferozepur

Last week, Anti-Narcotics Cell of Ferozepur Police arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 6.73 kgs of heroin worth Rs 34 crores from fields near the international border of Punjab.

Ferozepur: Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday recovered three packets of contraband item (packed inside a big packet), suspected to be heroin of approximate weight 3.2 KG, along with a string of approximately 100 metres.

Items were found in the paddy fields, ahead of the Border Security Fence in the area of responsibility of 103 Battalion BSF, Ferozepur sector. In dedicated efforts against drugs, BSF is efficiently curbing the efforts made by smugglers to carry out their nefarious activities.

On Wednesday, The Punjab Police and the BSF have recovered a huge cache of weapons near the India-Pakistan border in the Khemkaran area of Tarn Taran district, an official had said.

Last week, Anti-Narcotics Cell of Ferozepur Police arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 6.73 kgs of heroin worth Rs 34 crores from fields near the international border of Punjab, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Harmandeep Hans stated.
