RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav refuses to sheathe his sword and has now declared an all out war against his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav. Tej Pratap has now announced that he would be campaigning for Congress candidate Atirek Kumar for the upcoming bypolls to Kusheshwar Asthan.
Tej Pratap has issued a signed letter that the Chatra Janashakti Parishad, a political outfit which he formed recently, would extend full support to the Congress candidate from Kusheshwar Asthan and to the RJD candidate Arun Kumar who is contesting from Tarapur constituency.
The move comes days after senior RJD leader and party vice president Shivanand Tiwari said that Tej Pratap Yadav was no longer in the party and that he has been stopped from using the party symbol by the RJD.
However, there has been no official letter or statement subsequent to the Tiwari’s statement announcing the ouster of Tej Pratap Yadav. Infact, the entire leadership of the party has been refraining from answering any direct questions pertaining to Tej Pratap.
Recently, the elder son of Lalu Yadav had challenged the RJD leadership saying, “No one in the party has the guts to show him the door.”
RJD, which is presently being controlled by younger son Tejashwi, has now been contemplating action against Tej Pratap. Some insiders indicate that Tej Pratap may loose his MLA status and the party was seriously thinking on the same lines.
But the Tejashwi Yadav faction is yet to give any statement on the stand taken by Tej Pratap Yadav.
