Uttar Pradesh To Organise ‘Global Investors Summit 2023’ In February

The CM informed that the State has received the proposals from Singapore, France, UK and Mauritius for becoming the partner countries in the Global Investors Summit 2023.

New Delhi: Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath in a high-level meeting on Thursday reviewed the preparations and gave the final touch to roadmap for organizing the Global Investors Summit 2023. Uttar Pradesh is going to organize Global Investors Summit for 3 days on 10th, 11th and 12th February 2023 in Lucknow.

The state has already set a target to attract the investment of 10 lakh crore, a step to make the Uttar Pradesh 1 trillion dollar economy. CM Yogi Adityanath said that the Global investors summit 2023 would be a historic event and will give flight to the aspirations of ‘New India and New Uttar Pradesh’.

The CM informed that the State has received the proposals from Singapore, France, UK and Mauritius for becoming the partner countries in the Global Investors Summit 2023. Similarly Soon government will also communicate and will get in touch with the ambassador of Canada, Netherlands, USA, Japan, Israel, Sweden, Thailand, France and Singapore for the same.

CM has directed the officials to give Wider publicity to the Global Investor Summit. Road shows will be organised in different countries to create conducive environment in the industrial sector of different countries for the Global Investor Summit of Uttar Pradesh.

Ministers of Uttar Pradesh will be the brand ambassadors for GIS 2023 and International Road Shows. After Selecting the countries and cities for the road show the route will be decided. While deciding the route, experts from the sector in which investment is possible from the country concerned will be included in the team.

CM Yogi asked the ministers to decide and form the group earliest. The roadshow needs to be striking, we must showcase glimpse of our culture along with the best industrial environment in the state. Adityanath said road shows should be organised in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai in addition to overseas and arrangement is this regard should be made.

The Global Investors Summit is a great platform for branding of Uttar Pradesh. Roadshow before summit will help in inviting investors from all over the world to invest in UP, CM said The cooperation of industrial group like FICCI and CII will be sought in organizing road shows.

CM said along with the new industrial investment and employment promotion policy of the state, more than 30 sectoral policies should be prepared and presented prior to the investors’ summit. While framing the policies, CM asked the officials to work on the policies which are practical, employment generating and ensure a bright future of the youth.

Considering land a most crucial for setting up industries, Before the summit, the land bank should be expanded, so that the investor don’t face any problem. Currently, the Uttar Pradesh has around 1 lakh HA of land. CM also asked to form Separate teams to ensure the success of GIS-2023 and start preparations on war footing.

Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a ‘Dream Destination’ for industrial investment in the country by implementing the PM’s mantra of “Reform, Perform and Transform”. Uttar Pradesh is moving towards becoming the second largest economy in the India, CM said.

The Uttar Pradesh Government has organised 3 successful Investor summit within 5 years to boost the investment in the state, and now for the first time the Uttar Pradesh is going to organize the “Global Investor Summit” on February 10, 2023, CM view to make it historic.
