Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu and gangster Lakka Sadana’s names have been added in an FIR registered in relation with the violence at New Delhi’s Red Fort on January 26, Delhi Police announced.
The police further added that Sidhu was involved in the above-mentioned incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Chinmoy Biswal on January 27 wrote to the organiser of Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, Darshan Pal, asking him to give an explanation on why any further action should not be taken against him and his allies for breaking the agreement on the protest routes on Republic Day.
A official reply has been asked for within the next three days.
Speaking about Deep Singh Sidhu’s reported political connection with BJP, Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy told India Ahead in an exclusive interview: “I have no idea. This should be subject for investigation.”
“These farmers were peaceful for 60 days plus and sudden the entire thing is taken away,” he added.
Subramanian Swamy also claimed that according to his sources, Sidhu was a poll agent of Sunny Deol.
