New Delhi: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday detained at least 10 persons during a raid conducted at a high-profile party being held on a cruise in Mumbai.
Earlier today, three women, all residents of Delhi, were brought to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai for questioning in connection with the raid on a rave party at a cruise off the Mumbai coast yesterday.
Drugs including cocaine, ganja, MD and other intoxicants were recovered, said the NCB sources.
“We’ve intercepted some persons. The probe is underway. Drugs have been recovered. We’re investigating 8-10 persons,” said Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director, NCB, Mumbai.
According to NCB officials, children of prominent Bollywood actors are also being investigated. Many have hinted that the son of a prominent Bollywood Superstar was also detained among the 10 people by NCB.
“I can’t comment on it”, said Wankhede on being asked, “Was any celebrity present at the party?”
Earlier on Friday, the NCB has seized 4.600 kilograms of Ephedrine worth Rs 5 crore in Mumbai’s Andheri. The contraband that was sourced from Hyderabad and was destined to Australia via Mumbai was concealed in a consignment containing three mattresses, officials informed on Friday.
