New Delhi: Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday while addressing the ‘Janpratinidhi Sankalp Sammelan’ in Jaipur exuded confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win the 2023 Rajasthan assembly elections with a two-third majority and will form the government in the state.
Addressing a state executive meeting of the Rajasthan BJP in Jaipur, Shah launched an attack on Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot calling him “useless and corrupt” and also the people of the state to root him out from Rajasthan.
“The BJP will win the 2023 Rajasthan Assembly polls with a 2/3rd majority. This useless and corrupt Ashok Gehlot government must be rooted out in time from Rajasthan and the BJP should govern,” Shah was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
Shah also alleged that Congress instead of implementing “Gareebi Hatao Andolan”, implemented “Gareeb Hatao” campaign in the state.
The home minister also said that Modi government constructed toilets and provided gas cylinders to more than 11 crore and 13 crore households, respectively. He further said, “We gave medical facilities of Rs 5 lakh to 60 crore poor.”
Shah was on a two-day visit to Rajasthan and went to Jaipur on his second day of visit to the state to address the BJP state working executive committee meeting.
He also clarified that the BJP will be voted to power in Rajasthan with a thumping majority and will not topple the government in the state because the party will come to power in state with strong mandate in 2023 assembly polls.
