Panaji: Amid speculation about a change of guard in Karnataka, BJP president J P Nadda on Sunday (July 25) ruled out any crisis and said Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has done good work.

“Yediyurappa has done good work. Karnataka is doing well. Yediyurappa is taking care of the things in his own way,” said Nadda who is on a two-day visit to Goa.

When asked if there is a leadership crisis Karnataka, Nadda said, “That is what you feel. We don’t feel so”.

Nadda’s remarks assume significance as they came hours after the Karnataka CM said he will take an appropriate decision, once he receives directions from the BJP high command this evening, regarding his continuation in the post.

“By evening once it comes, you will also get to know about it, once it comes I will take an appropriate decision,” Yediyurappa said in Belagavi.

B S Yediyurappa on Saturday stated that he had to face several challenges from the day he took charge as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.

However, he added that he is satisfied that he has made honest efforts to better the lives of the people.

The Chief Minister also added that he feels proud to have paid back to the people of Shivamogga district and his Shikaripura constituency, by making sure its all round development.

Yediyurappa’s remarks came while speaking after virtually inaugurating projects worth Rs 1,074 crore and laying the foundation for various projects worth Rs 560 crore in Shivamogga district, from his home office in Bengaluru.

“From the day I took charge as the Chief Minister till now, I had to face several challenges like natural disasters that the state had never faced in the past and the corona pandemic, which ravaged lives. Now once again there is a flood like situation” Yediyurappa noted.
