At Least 60 Students Of Boarding School In Bengaluru Test Positive For COVID-19

Of those who tested positive, two were symptomatic while the rest were asymptomatic.

The staff members were also tested and none of them were found infected.

Bengaluru: At least 60 students of a boarding school in Bengaluru have tested positive for COVID-19. A total of 480 students of Sri Chaitanya Boarding school were tested for COVID-19 after one child who came from Bellary showed symptoms of the infection. Of those who tested positive, two were symptomatic while the rest were asymptomatic.

The staff members were also tested and none of them were found infected. Around 22 teaching and 35 non-teaching staff have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
The students and staff have been staying in the boarding school for the past one month.

Among the 60 students, who tested positive, 14 were from Tamil Nadu and 46 were from different parts of Karnataka. All of them are students of Class 11 and 12.
