4 Swimmers Arrested For Nurse’s Gang-Rape In Bengaluru, Had Befriended Her On Dating App

According to reports, one of the accused, Rajat, befriended the woman on a dating app and took her to a hotel on March 24.

The accused have been identified as Yogesh Kumar, Shiv Rana, Rajat and Dev Saroha (Clockwise).

New Delhi: Four swimming coaches from Delhi were arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly gang-raping a woman from West Bengal on March 24. The 22-year-old woman was a nurse at a private hospital in the city.

The accused have been identified as Dev Saroha, Yogesh Kumar, Rajat and Shiv Rana. All the four men are swimmers and were in Bengaluru for training.

According to reports, one of the accused, Rajat, befriended the woman on a dating app and took her to a hotel on March 24. Later, he took her to his room that he had shared with three of his friends, police said.

The woman filed a complaint with the police, in which she alleged that the four men raped and assaulted her. Following which, she informed her friends who reached there and rescued her, the police said.

Based on her complaint, the four men were arrested on Tuesday and remanded in judicial custody.
