Bengaluru: Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar lost his cool on Tuesday after his party members created a ruckus during the party’s minority wing meet in Bengaluru. The leader warned those creating ruckus that the party is supreme, not a leader.
KPCC President Shivakumar lost his temper when Karnataka Congress had organised a grand oath-taking ceremony for KPCC Minority Wing President Abdul Jabbar in Bengaluru on Tuesday, but the party had to face huge embarrassment when supporters of Congress leader Zameer Ahmed Khan started shouting slogans and asking why senior Muslim leader like him was not present in the programme.
After a while when former chief minister Siddaramiah began to deliver his speech, disgruntled supporters with placards of Zameer Ahmed Khan started shouting slogans.
Siddaramiah tried to pacify the supporters of Zameer Ahmed, but they continued shouting. Angered, KPCC president DK Shivakumar warned the supporters and informed that Congress leader Zameer Ahmed was invited to the ceremony but he had decided to skip the meeting.
