The state already has Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi from BJP as its Deputy Chief Ministers, who replaced Nitish Kumar’s deputy Sushil Kumar Modi on November 16, 2020.
The NDA secured a 125-seat majority in the 243-seat Bihar Legislative Assembly. Party wise breakup shows, BJP won 74 seats, JD(U) on 43, on the other hand, Lalu Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) became the single-largest party with 75 seats while Congress could only win 19 seats in the Bihar Assembly poll held last year.
