The Election Commission of India (ECI) is set to announce the schedule of Assembly elections in five states.

West Bengal, Puducherry, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Assam are all set to go into Assembly elections in April-May, 2021. The poll body is scheduled to hold an official press conference at 4:30 PM on Friday (February 26).
