Congress and TMC on Wednesday (March 10) gave an adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha, demanding the repeals of the three new farm laws for which farmers’ protests have been ongoing since November 2020.
Meanwhile, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M)), Shiv Sena, and Bahujan Samaj Party (BJP) have given adjournment notice in Lok Sabha over the issue of fuel rise price across the nation.
The Farmers protests have been ongoing for several months at several borders of the national capital against the three farm laws that were passed in the Parliament in 2020. Farmers say that the new laws will provide an advantage to the private sector and prove detrimental to the agricultural sector.
On the other hand, fuel prices across the country have reached an astronomical figure due to the heavy government taxation and rise in global crude oil prices. Petrol across many places in India is being sold near or above the Rs 100 mark per litre.
