Jharkhand’s captain Ishan Kishan was at his best as he smashed 173 runs in just 94 balls against Madhya Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Saturday (February 20). It is the highest individual score by a batsman at the Holkar Stadium, Indore.
Kishan came out to bat with Utkarsh Singh as Madhya Pradesh won the toss and opted to bowl. Utkarsh was gone in the third over after Ishwar Pandey caught him plumb lbw. In came Kumar Kushagra who shared a 113 run partnership with the skipper as Madhya Pradesh bowlers proved ineffective.

After Kushagra’s departure, Kishan was joined by his IPL counterpart from Sunrisers Hyderabad Virat Singh who also played a fiery knock of 68 runs from 49 balls. Meanwhile, on the other end, Kishan was tonking bowlers to all parts of the ground.
Finally in the 28th over Ishan was dismissed by Gaurav Yadav thus ending a sensational inning.
