Napier: Right-arm pacer Taskin Ahmed took a one-handed stunning catch during the second T20I between New Zealand and Bangladesh on Tuesday (March 30) at the McLean Park, Napier. The incident happened on the last ball of the powerplay. Mohammad Saifuddin bowled a fullish delivery aimed at Guptill’s pads and the right-hander just flicked the ball which was looked to reach the boundary in no time.
However, Ahmed had other ideas as he dived to his left and caught the ball one-handed at short fine leg and managed to hold it even when he fell on the ground. Guptill just watched in disbelief and could only laugh at the brilliant piece of fielding.

New Zealand defeated Bangladesh in the first T20I at Dunedin by 66 runs after superb batting by Devon Conway and Will Young helped the hosts post 210 before the bowlers led by Ish Sodhi restricted the visitors at 144.
The Kiwis are in fine form and have already cleansweeeped Bangladesh in the ODI series. The visitors from Asia have struggled for consistency and are looking for their first win in New Zealand for over two decades.
