India on Sunday (April 4) announced the shooting team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. India has named a 15-member squad that will compete in the upcoming Summer Olympics. In the 10 Metre Air Pistol Woman India will be represented by Manu Bhaker and Yashaswini Singh Deswal with P Shri Nivetha and Shweta Singh the reserve shooter.
Bhaker will also represent the country in the 25 metre Sports Pistol along with Rahi Sarnobat with Chinki Yadav and Abhidnya Patil nominated as the reserve shooters.
In Men’s Skeet Shooting Angadvir Singh Bajwa and Mairaj Ahmad Khan are part of the Indian contingent with Gurjoat Singh Khangura and Sheeraz Sheikh named as the reserve shooters.
Divyansh Singh Panwar and Elavenil Valarivan are named in the 10 metre Air Rifle Mixed Team while the reserve list shooters includes Deepak Kumar and Anjum Moudgil. Meanwhile, the 10 metre Air Pistol Mixed Team has Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker as the main shooters while Abhishek Verma and Yashaswini Singh Deswal find themselves on the reserve shooters list.
For the 10 metre Air Rifle Men’s event the names of Divyansh Singh Panwar and Deepak Kumar have been selected with Sandeep Singh and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar being added as Reserve shooters. Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar does however finds himself representing the nation in the 50 Metre Rifle 3 Position Men along with Sanjeev Rajput wjile Swapnil Kusale and Chain Singh act as the reserve shooter.
Moving on to the 10 metre Air Pistol Men’s event the names of Saurabh Chaudhary and Abhishek Verma have been finalised with Shahzar Rizvi and Om Prakash Mitharval named as the backup shooters. For the 10 metre Rifle Women Apurvi Chandela and Elavenil Valarivan are the main shooters and will be joined by Anjum Moudgil and Shreya Agrawal as the reserve shooters.
Finally for the 50 metre Rifle 3 Position Women’s event Anjum Moudgil and Tejaswini Sawant will don the Indian jersey with Sunidhi Chauhan and Gaayathri N the reserve shooters.
