Many scientists believe Covid spreads in winters when people huddle together in confined spaces. Really? In India, Covid raged during the summers and mysteriously receded during the winters, and is now spreading again as we head towards summers. And Kerala is among the worst affected states despite not having severe winters.
According to the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 11,805 discharges and 78 deaths in the last 24 hours too. These numbers takes the total discharges and death toll in the country to 1,05,22,601 and 1,54,996 respectively.
Maintaining its downward trajectory, the new cases fell from 12,408 positive patients reported on Friday (Feb 5) to 11,713 new COVID-19 cases recorded on February 6, 2021.
According to the Union Health Ministry, India has recorded 17,824 discharges and 107 deaths in the last 24 hours too.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Wednesday (February 3)reported that India’s COVID-19 tally reached 1,07,77,284 with 11,039 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
However, on Feb 1, the discharges stood at 11,858 discharges, slightly lower than 13 thousand reported on Sunday.
