As the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch, 5 is around the corner, rumours and leaks about Watch 5 have already revealed almost everything about the new smartwatch. The launch is set to take place on August 10, 2022. We’ve already got a rough idea about the looks and cost. Today you’ll be surprised to know about the charging speed of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro as the charger will switch to USB-C which means it will charge 45% in just 30 minutes. However, the current smartwatches of Samsung take about two hours to reach 100% charge using the 5W charger. So, as per the leak, it is now possible that the Galaxy Watch 5 line will be fully charged in about an hour. Isn’t it good news?
The other important to note is that the Watch 5 charger is switching from USB-A to USB-C which is certainly unusual when compared to most existing smartwatches in the market. Well, this opens up the possibility to charge a smartwatch using a smartphone with no use of the less-efficient “Wireless Powershare” feature.
In addition to this leak, Snoopy also mentioned the pricing of the smartwatch in Canada, which could be $349 CAD for the 40mm Galaxy Watch 5. While for the 44mm size, it would be $389 CAD. The Watch 5 Pro, meanwhile, starts at the price of $559 CAD.
Earlier, the European pricing of the new smartwatches was leaked. As per that pricing, the Galaxy Watch 5 40mm model with Bluetooth connectivity would cost about €259.98 while the Galaxy Watch 5 44mm model with Bluetooth should cost around €286.90 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro 45nm model’s price would be €430.89.
When it comes to the design of smartwatches of Samsung, it is expected to follow the same design as its predecessors with a round dial with several sensors to track and offer health-related details. The Tech giant Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 5 series alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 on August 10, 2022.
