New Delhi: Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed officials to organise the “Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsawalu” (Diamond Jubilee celebrations of India Independence Day) in a grandeur and majestic manner that exults people with patriotic fervor and from the inspiration of freedom struggle for two weeks.

CM KCR appealed to students in the schools, employees, higher officials, people representatives, youth and the entire state to participate in the celebrations with enthusiasm. The CM also instructed to distribute National flags to all 1.20 crore houses in the state free of cost.

The execution of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations will take place from August 8 to 22 under ‘Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsava Dwisaptaham’, organised on the eve of completion of 75 years of Indian Independence.

A high-level meeting under the chairmanship of CM KCR with the Committee headed by Sri K Keshava Rao and other top officials was held for the same recently at Pragati Bhavan.

National Flag Atop Every House – Every Heart Filled With ‘Indianness’

CM KCR reviewed day-to-day programme being organised as part of the ‘Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsava Dwisaptaham’ from August 8 to 22. The Chief Minister also suggested the measures to be taken to make it a grand success, in addition to the prestigious hoisting of national flag on every house on August 15.

KCR instructed the officials to start the distribution of flags from August 9. The flag distribution will be taken up by the Municipalities and Gram Panchayats.

Vajrotsavam Celebrations To Kick Start On August 8

CM KCR has decided to organise the inaugural function of the Vajrotsavam at HICC in Hyderabad. The CM said cultural programmes with freedom spirit, patriotic national songs and Rastriya Salute with Army and Police bands will be conducted.

Later on in the opening remarks, the Chairman and CM KCR’s special speeches on Vajrotsavam and vote of thanks will also be there.

The participants in the programme will be Ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, ZP Chairmen, Mayors, DCCB, DCMS presidents, all districts Rythu Bandhu samithi Presidents, ZPTC members, MPPs , Corporation Mayors, Municipal Chairmen, all departments HODs, IAS, IPS , IFS officials in the district headquarters, Army, Air Force and other Defence commanders, top officials of the central government organizations and others.

The CM decided to organize the inaugural programme with 2000 participants.

Few More Decisions Taken At The Review Meeting:

-Steps will be taken for Specials decoration at Bus stands, railway stations, Airports , Star hotels , hospitals and Shopping malls.

-15-day special decoration and lit up all government buildings and other historical structures with colourful lights.

-Essay writing, elocution, painting and patriotic song competitions in government and private schools and inter and degree students.

-Teachers and Lecturers will organize poem competition on patriotism

-Patriotic songs on loud speaker during the prayer timing in all educational institutions every day.

-Screening of Gandhi film directed by Richard Attenborough in all theatres for the students of government and private institutions every day.

-Games and sports competitions in the name of Freedom cup at village, mandal and state level. Prizes will be distributed to the winners.

-Special rallies by students and employees with other communities

-Combined national anthem programme in the entire state one day during the 15-day celebrations, CM KCR instructed DGP Mahendar reddy to take the responsibility.

-CM KCR instructed Cultural department to hold ‘Mushairas’ and ‘Kavi Sammelanams’ on the theme of freedom struggle.

-State wide Plantation programme and the establishment of freedom parks

-Freedom 2 K run involving youth and sport personalities

-Baloon display with freedom spirit

-Blood donation camp in every assembly constituency

-Distribution of fruits and sweets in hospitals, orphanage centers, jails and old age homes

-Special Assembly session will also be held; local body meeting in Gram panchayats, Mandal parishads, Zilla parishads and Municipalities will be organized.

-CM KCR decided to pay a befitting tribute to the freedom fighters

-Cracker blast programme on August 14 in all mandal and district headquarters and at tank band in Hyderabad.

-CM KCR decided to constitute special organizing committees with Ministers as Presidents in district level and Collector as convener and other officials and people representatives as members.

-Musical programmes with noted singers and musical maestros in the country

-Special programmes to provide help to the under-privilege sections.

-CM KCR decided to felicitate best gram panchayat, municipality, school and best former, doctor, engineer, police officials and other officials, artists, singers and writers.

-A 15-day cultural fete reflecting freedom spirit will be organized at Ravindra Bahrati in Hyderabad.

August 08: Inauguration of Swatantra Bhatara Vajrotsava

August 09 : Start of door-to-door distribution of national flags.

August 10: As part of the Vajrotsava Vana Mahotsava. Plantation in every village and in freedom parks

August 11 : Conduct of Freedom Run

August 12: Telecast of special Vajrotsava programs by various media organizations on the occasion of Rakhi day.

August 13: Diamond Jubilee rallies with the participation of students, youth, women and various social groups.

August 14 : Special cultural folk programs will be organized by Samskruthika Sarathi artists in the evening. Lighting and blast of crackers.

August 15 : Independence Day celebrations.

August 16: Simultaneous national anthem singing across Telangana. Evening poet gatherings, conducting mushairas.

August 17: Conduct of blood donation camps.

August 18: Conduct of Games and sports event in the name of ‘Freedom Cup’

August 19: Distribution of fruits and sweets to inmates in hospitals, old age homes, orphanages and jails.

August 20: Conduct of Rangoli competitions to declare patriotism and national spirit.

August 21: Special Assembly Session. Along with that, a special meeting of other local organizations.

August 22: Diamond Jubilee Closing Ceremony at LB Stadium.
In a high-level review meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on the conduct of the ‘Swatantra Bharata Vajrotsava Dwisaptaham’.

Chairman of the Management Committee, MP, K. Kesha Rao, Ministers T Harish Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Sabita Indra Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, MP Ranjith Reddy, MLAs Devi Reddy Sudhir Reddy, Rasamai Balakishan participated in the meeting.

In addition, C. Lakshmareddy, GHMC Mayor Gadwala Vijayalakshmi, Chief Adviser to Government Rajiv Sharma, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Principal Secretary to CM Narsinga Rao, DGP Mahender Reddy, Government Adviser KV Ramanachari, Sahitya. Academy Chairman Juluru Gowrishankar, MAUD Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar were also present.
