Bhubaneshwar-Based Artist Carves Decorative Items, Accessories Using Waste Coconut Shells

A Bhubaneswar-based artist has set a perfect example of utilising waste material and producing a meaningful product out of it.

Standing by the moto of turning ‘waste to wealth’ the artist turned entrepreneur has used coconut shells which are usually thrown as a waste to make accessories, show pieces and other home decor items.

Devi Prashad Dash imparts training to people in remote areas in an attempt to enhance their skills.

Dash claims that he is inclined towards art and culture as the state of Odisha is known for it. The 41-year old started crafting items in 2011. He further expanded his work by setting up training units and promoted his products on various social media platforms.
