Amid uncertainty of the Covid-19 Pandemic, cancellation of cbse class 12 board exams, adopting a new marking criteria and reports of the delay in results, The cbse declared the class 12th exam results on July 30 on its official website.

This year, 99.37 pass percentage has been recorded which is nearly 10 per cent higher than previous year’s 88.8 per cent.

The CBSE decided to not release the merit list even this year. The board did not release any merit list in 2020 as the result was partially finalised using an alternative assessment scheme.

As the Central Board of Secondary Education released the much-awaited class 12 results, mixed reactions were received from students.

There were also others who felt that the entire year along with their preparations was wasted as the CBSE adopted the new marking policy that took into consideration marks from class 11 and class 10.

The biggest jump in pass percentage was observed in Independent and Govt aided schools which had gone up from 88.22 % last year to 99.22 % this year in independent schools, and 91.56% last year to 99.48 % this year in govt aided schools.

Girls outhined boys in the class 12th results as 99.67 per cent girls have passed the exams this year as opposed to 99.13 percent boys.
