India reported 22,431 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, 19% higher than yesterday. 24,602 patients recovered during the last 24 hours. With this the recovery rate has increased to 97.95%, Highest since March 2020. The daily positivity rate has reached to 1.57%, less than 3% for the last 38 days.
India’s Active Caseload is currently at 2,44,198, lowest in 204 days. Active cases now constitute less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.72%; Lowest since March.
On Wednesday, markets and other ghats in Haridwar, were abuzz with activity as lakhs of devotees thronged the Har Ki Pauri and other ghats to observe rituals for the pitri visarjani amavasya, the last day of the ongoing period of shradh.

Bharat Biotech has submitted the clinical trial data of its Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 2-18 years of age to the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization for Emergency Use Authorisation. The Hyderabad firm had in May received permission to conduct phase two and three trials of the vaccine on children.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the ‘Devbhoomi’ of Uttarakhand on 7th October for dedicating 35 Pressure Swing Adsorption oxygen plants across India. Taking to Twitter, he called the oxygen plants a “vital healthcare infrastructure’.
