Differently-Abled Jharkhand man Employs Many Like Him In His Printing Press

Dhanijit believes that people working at this printing press are very satisfied with their work as they get recognition and respect which was absent at other places where most of them got rejected.

A 45-year-old specially challenged Dhanijit Ram Chand has become an inspiration for others. Hailing from Ranchi, Dhanijit stood up against all odds and started a printing press inside an NGO that now employs people like him to make them self dependent and financially strong.

After being treated indifferently by the society, Dhanijit came up with the idea to change the outlook of people towards them and to take charge of his own life.

Dhanijit and his brother were brought to Cheshire Home when they were kids in 1979.

Today, he attributes his success to this NGO which is dedicated to differently-abled persons, where both he and his brother grew.

In the last 15 years, Dhanijit has trained and given opportunities to a number of specially-abled persons, who significantly handle pre and post-production work at the printing press, all by themselves.

However, an external workforce is also hired on occasions when the workload is high, and for certain tasks which require help from fully capable persons.
