A handcrafted 4-feet-tall chocolate Durga idol is on display at the Flury bakery. However, this chocolate Durga is a feast that is made solely for your eyes. According to the bakery the chocolate idol is 4 feet tall and they took 15 days to create this masterpiece.
The chefs claim that they were faced with various challenges as chocolate has a low melting point and it was important that the temperatures were kept right so that the sculpting did not crack .
According to the bakery the idol will be immersed in milk and a milkshake will be made which will then be distributed among underprivileged children after Vijay Dashami. There is also a hint of gold dust to adorn the embroidery of the Goddess’ sari.
The cocoa butter was used to solidly the idol and give it a glossy texture and a traditional touch was given in the design of the motifs .
