While Instagram is flooded with content on beauty, fashion, music, dance, humour, food and travel, this latest brand of content creators are educating millennials about finance, through skits and reels.
They found a young audience, who wanted to understand investing and the stock market, but found the world of finance too complicated and full of jargons. Hence, they decided to break down the basics of taxes, mutual funds, stocks and cryptocurrency through engaging and educating content.
They have lakhs of followers, and they credit their popularity due to the soaring interest in Instagram reels. They also feel that the present bull market got more youngsters interested in finance. Due to the pandemic, a lot of them were stuck at home with a lot of free time, and thus consumed a lot of content, and when they stumbled upon finance-related content, they got hooked.
They’ve unfortunately witnessed a gender-divide when it comes to money matters. Women are often dependent on male members of their families, for financial decisions.
