Gutka Man From Kanpur Returns With A Message, Says Chewed Betel Nut Not Tobacco

Reportedly, what is bothering him is that his sister, who had accompanied him for the match to the stadium is receiving nasty comments from several people after the video went viral.

The man from Kanpur, Shobhit Pandey, whose video where he was supposedly chewing ‘tobacco’ at Kanpur’s Green Park stadium during the India-New Zealand 1st Test match went viral, returned to the stadium with a placard that read in hindi “Gutka khana galat baat hai”, which means that “Chewing tobacco is wrong”.

He told the news agency ANI that he was chewing betel nut taken from his sister with whom he had come to watch the match and not tobacco.

The video that was shared on social media after it started a meme-fest, with several twitter handles sharing it. Personalities like poet Dr. Kumar Vishwas and Cricketer Wasim Jaffer also jumped on the meme bandwagon and shared memes on Pandey’s video.

He further told ANI that what is bothering him is that his sister, who had accompanied him for the match to the stadium is receiving nasty comments from several people after the video went viral.
