Food Bus of India: Dining Inside A Double-Decker Bus In Delhi

Food Bus of India is famous for its handmade pizza topped with freshly ground spices and veggies, Penne Arrabiata Pasta, Burgers and their thalis.

Launched on September 18 2021, Food Bus of India is a stationary bus that attempts to introduce a unique dining experience by replicating the United Kingdom’s famous public transport – the London Red double-decker bus. With one at the Gate Number 2 of Rajendra Place metro station as their flagship restaurant, Food Bus of India plans to extend the services in different destinations across Delhi – North campus, Lajpat Nagar, South Ex II, Malaviya Nagar, Green Park, Connaught Place, Dwarka and Akshardham.

Understanding the burgeoning demand and changing consumers’ living styles and preferences, this double-decker bus dining provides diners a unique ambience to dine in a food truck and enjoy their meal.

The Food bus India serves street food from around the world curated by the founders and hospitality personalities. “We bring to you the capitals of the world to the capital of the country,” states Arushi Singh, the co-founder of Food Bus of India, who decided to make this dream a reality. According to Singh, her brother, Tejas Singh who is an architect by profession created the structural design of the bus body and commissioned its construction from scratch to a vendor at an outstation location. Collaborating with Sukhraj Singh and Surjit Singh, one of the co-founders of restaurants like Lord of the Drinks, Imly, and Open House Cafe, this bus serves as a restaurant and a tourist attraction.

The bus is known for its food and the affordable prices that it comes with. One can easily stop by, grab their order and carry on with their day. FBI is famous for its handmade pizza topped with freshly ground spices and veggies, Penne Arrabiata Pasta, Burgers and their thalis.

The novelty of dining in a double-decker bus trumps the wait. Customers who hop in the bus not just enjoy the double-decker elevated experience but also the food.

Ensuring standardisation of food across all outlets, the food is pre-cooked at their base kitchen in Naraina with special touches added to it at the modest kitchen on the bus.
