Indian Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu’s Journey: From Rio Olympics to Tokyo Olympics

Mirabai Chanu reveals her toughest competitor, in an exclusive chat with India Ahead News.

The Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu said, “I felt good that I could cover-up in the Tokyo Olympics. I worked for 5 years and I’m happy that it paid-off.”

While speaking to India Ahead the silver medalist said that her toughest competitors were the Chinese.

When Mirabai lost at the Rio Olympics, at a point in time she felt that she should probably quit the game but, her coach motivated her to stick on to the game and build up.

“My coach supported me alot, he helped me alot, my family has always been there for me,” Mirabai Chanu said.
