IPL 2021: RCB vs KKR Preview & What’s Behind Virat Kohli’s Big Announcement?

AFTER quitting the T20 world cup captaincy, captain Virat Kohli on Sunday announced that he will be stepping down as RCB’s captain after IPL 2021. The cricket fans are abuzz, all over the internet.

Kohli has reiterated that he would stay committed to the franchise till his IPL retirement. He said,  “I have made it clear to the management that I can’t think of being in any other team than RCB and that has been my commitment from Day 1. I will continue to be an RCB player till I play my last game in the IPL.”

Contributing Sports Editor, Indranil Basu opines.

“Carrying that attitude on his sleeves, he has been different from other captains we had in the Indian cricket team. He is very aggressive, he is super involved in everything Indranil.”

Indranil says that “I wasn’t surprised because of the amount of pressure that was there, but I expected that Virat would win at least something before calling it quits.”

Indranil adds,  “Mumbai, somewhere lost the spot because they didn’t have their main players Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. CSK has proven again and again to be a champion team over the years.”

On the second day clash between  RCB Vs KKR, Indranil says that according to him it’s going to be RCB’s day.

“Between RCB and KKR, RCB has been in good mental space. Their players are in good shape. They have good bowlers, they invested a lot on batting earlier, they are going to miss Washington Sundar for sure,” Indranil added.
