After a suspected drone attack at the Jammu Air Force Station on 27 June, 2 separate drone activities were spotted over Ratnuchak-Kaluchak Military area by troops on the intervening night of 27-28 June. The drones flew back after Quick Reaction Teams (QRT) engaged them with firing.
The military has launched a massive search operation across the area. Security forces are on high alert. According to reports, two Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) appeared at the military base at 11.30pm and 3am on 27 June.
After the double blasts in the valley, protests have erupted against Pakistan in Jammu. The Dogra Front workers held a protest and set the flags of the neighbouring country on fire.
On 27 June, the Indian Air Force Station in Jammu was hit by 2 low-intensity explosions which injured two IAF personnel and damaged the roof of the building. According to officials, it is believed to be the first-ever drone attack to target an Indian military facility. Multiple teams, including a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), have joined the probe.
