Director Karan Johar and Choreographer Farah Khan took to Instagram on the occasion of 20 years of the release of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The film was released on December 14 in 2001. The multi-starrer had big names including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and the much-loved pair Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The film was a huge box office success.

Karan Johar penned an emotional note while Khan posted a reel where she and the film’s director can be seen dancing to the tunes of the popular song from the film “Bole Choodiyan”.

“It’s going to be 20 years and I still feel the euphoria of having this film release on the big screen and people going to watch it. But I feel the impact sank in for me much later. And that feeling hasn’t stopped ever since. I see all the videos, all the occasions this film’s music is a part of, all the dialogues people have now inculcated in their daily life and of course – the fashion!! At the heart of it, I also see that after all this time – it’s all about loving your…family”, wrote Johar.

The official merchandise of  Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham launched by Johar is up for sale too.
