In an uncomfortable new pattern of violence in Kashmir, 7 civilians have been killed since the beginning of October.
Out of the 7, 4 people, including 2 teachers, were from minority communities.
Reportedly, the targeted killings have triggered widespread fear, especially among the minority communities, who are now leaving the tense region.

29 civilians have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir this year. Overall, the valley has witnessed 185 deaths due to terror in 2021, which includes 134 terrorists.
The increase in violence comes amid Pakistan based terror groups like jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-taiba boosting infiltration activities along the LoC.
The attacks in the valley have been claimed by a shadow outfit of the Let called the resistance front, born 9 months after the abrogation of article 370.
NIA Officials say that the outfit is backed by Let and was created by Pakistan to make terrorists groups in Kashmir look local.
Infact, amid the fear and panic, Ahead of the festive season, the Delhi Police Special Cell also foiled a big terror plan with the arrest of a Pakistani national from Laxmi Nagar in Delhi on October 11 and seized an AK-47 rifle from his possession.
