Kerala’s Muslim Artist Paints More than 500 Portraits Of Lord Krishna, Making It Accepted In Temple

She has been making the portraits for 6 years and has painted around 500 portraits till now.

Jasna Saleem, a Muslim artist from Kerala’s Kozhikode Paints beautiful portraits of lord Krishna. She has been making the portraits for 6 years and has painted around 500 portraits till now.

Incidently, In her childhood, Saleem, who belongs to a traditional Muslim family, was called ‘Kanna’, which happens to be another name for lord Krishna, by her family.

The young artist has been presenting the portraits she makes to the devotees of Shree Krishna temple in Guruvayoor every year.

Much to her happiness and excitement, she got a chance to unveil the portrait of lord krishna at Ulanadu Sree Krishna Swami Temple at Pathaamthitta district. It was the first time that she saw one of her portraits inside a temple.
