Madurai Florist Makes Floral Masks For Brides & Grooms To Spread Awareness About Covid-19 Third Wave

The three-layer mascara flower mask will have a clinical mask in the first layer, Mandara in the second, Leaf and Jasmine in the third layer.

The coronavirus pandemic has changed the course of our lives as people found new ways of traveling, shopping, watching movies or even dining out. Even weddings became smaller and fewer, and the never-ending ceremonies and long guest lists got trimmed.

But some things never changed amid the pandemic. As India witnessed a gradual decline in Covid-19 cases, several states started easing restrictions which led to people flouting the Covid-19 appropriate norms including wearing masks and managing social distancing.

In an attempt to ensure that marriages happen in a safety bubble, a florist in Madurai has started creating a bridal floral mask for the bride and grooms to create awareness about the potential third wave in the state.

Mohan, who runs a flower shop at Swami Sannathi near Meenakshi Temple says that these masks are made with a coating of  Mandara and jasmine flowers. The three-layer mascara flower mask will have a clinical mask in the first layer, Mandara in the second, Leaf and Jasmine in the third layer.

Mohan thinks that if the bride and groom wear the mask, it will automatically make others follow the safety protocol and hence, people will stay clear of contracting the infection.
