Nation Celebrates For Achieving 100-Crore Covid-19 Vaccine Doses Milestone

Doctors believe that the major reason for the success was the trust that people developed in the vaccine despite of misinformation and panic that circulated throughout the year.

As India achieved the landmark milestone of administering 100 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses to the population on 21st October, doctors, nurses and medical staff celebrated the historic day with sweets, dhols, rangolis and roses. 

Doctors believe that the major reason for the success was the trust that people developed in the vaccine despite of misinformation and panic that circulated throughout the year.

To mark the day, Archaeological Survey of India illuminated almost 100 monuments that included, Charminar and Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, Shankaracharya temple of Srinagar and Shaniwarwada of Pune to name a few.

Famous sand-artist Sudarshan Pattnaik also joined the club by making a sand art representing the Indian map and a large vaccination needle.

Even air carrier SpiceJet has unveiled the special livery at the Delhi’s IGI airport to celebrate the 100 crore vaccination milestone.

In view of this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the entire nation on this joyous occasion on 22nd October. He said that the vaccination programme has been science-born, science- driven and science-based.
