Squid Game : Mumbai Police’s Viral Post On Road Safety Inspired By Netflix’s Hit Show

Mumbai Police is known for spreading awareness using latest trends and references from pop culture.

Joining the buzz, generated by Netflix’s series “Squid Game”, Mumbai Police put across a message about road safety rules.

In a novel way to drive home the message to follow the traffic rules, Mumbai Police took to twitter to share their version of Squid Game’s ‘Red Light, Green Light”.

In this popular survival drama series, the first game that is played by the contestants is “Red Light, Green Light”, during which a giant robotic doll says , “Red light, Green Light”, to the contestants. If the player moves after she says “red light”, they get eliminated and are shot down.

The caption of Mumbai police’s post read, “You are the ‘frontman’ of your ‘game’ on the road: you can save yourself from getting eliminated. Stop at red lights.”

The post went viral within minutes of getting posted.
