Jammu and Kashmir has been under back to back terror attacks.
Two teachers were killed by terrorists in Srinagar On 7th October morning, less than 48 hours after three civilians were gunned down by terrorists in separate incidents.
Reportedly, the two teachers, a sikh woman and a kashmiri pandit man were from a government school.
The police and security forces rushed to the spot but the attackers had already escaped.
DGP Srinagar says that the attempt to create communal hatred and target the minorities is absolutely condemnable.
The victims have been identified as principal Supinder Kour (44) and teacher Deepak Chand of Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Sangam. Both were residents of Alochibagh and have been shifted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
As many as 23 civilians have been shot dead by militants in targeted killings this year till date, with 8 in Srinagar, 4 in Pulwama, 4 in Anantnag, 3 in Kulgam, 2 in Baramulla, 1 in Budgam and 1 in Bandipora.
