Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, artisans from Tenali in the Guntur City have constructed a 14-foot long statue of PM Modi entirely made from scrap material.
The statue was made by artists Katuru Venkateswara Rao and his son Katuru Ravi, who were approached by a BJP contractor to make the stature.
Rao informed that he used various kinds of waste material, such as discarded automobile parts, metal chains, cogs, wheels, rods, nuts, bolts, sheets, and other broken unusable metal pieces, nuts, and bolts to make the statue.
Roughly, 2 tonnes of scrap were used to build the Prime Minister’s statue. The statue that took almost two months to build would soon be erected in Bengaluru city.
The father son duo that run ‘Surya Silpa Sala’ has created models of the Hindustan Ambassador car, tractors, national emblems, and bullock cart etc from the scrap material.
