World’s Tallest Railway Bridge Pier To Come Up In Manipur By The Indian Railways

The anticipated cost of the bridge is ₹374 crore. The bridge consists of 61 tunnels and will be ready by December 2023.

World’s tallest bridge pier is all set to be build in Manipur by the Indian Railways. The Jiribam-Imphal railway project is a 111 km long railway line that will connect Manipur to the rest of the country.

It is said that the bridge will cover the distance in 2-2.5 hours. The bridge is being built at a height of 141 meters which will surpass the existing record of 139 meter
of Mala – Rijeka viaduct, Montenegro in Europe.

Reportedly, the anticipated cost of the bridge is ₹374 crore. The bridge consists of 61 tunnels and will be ready by December 2023.
