Meet Yash Moradiya, a Dubai-based Yoga instructor, who set a world record for holding the longest upside-down scorpion or Vrischikasana pose for 29 minutes and 4 seconds. The previous record was set at 4 minutes and 47 seconds.
The 22-year-old Yoga enthusiast practised for hours everyday, over the last 5 years to achieve this incredible feat. His purpose was to create awareness on the importance of Yoga. Yash says holding the scorpion pose for such a long time requires a lot of mental stability.
Yash picked up Yoga since he was 8 years old. He pursued philosophy and ancient knowledge of the practice to understand the roots of Yoga. He’s won several medals and championships so far.
